Terms and Conditions,
Each commission we undertake is subject to standard terms and conditions laid out by the Royal Institute of British Architects current at the time. The current version is;
RIBA Standard Agreement 2010 (2012 Revision): Architect
These Terms and Conditions have been rigorously checked for legal accuracy, are formally recommended by the RIBA, and are readily tailored to specific need.
Fee basis,
Fees can be calculated on a range of basis:
% OF COST
A percentage rate reflecting the scope of service and project complexity is applied to the best current estimate of construction cost.
FIXED FEE
A lump sum is agreed where the scope of service and project complexity is adequately defined.
GROSS FLOOR PLAN AREA RATE
A fee value is applied per square metre or square foot of new and / or altered building design / work.
GROSS VOLUME RATE
A fee value is applied per cubic metre or cubic foot of new and / or altered building design / work.
RISK BASED
An enhanced rate or fixed fee applies on pre-defined success. This can be based on no-win / no-fee, or base cost + uplift.
OTHER
To suit specific preferences

Scope of services, terms & conditions, and fee basis are agreed in writing prior to starting commissions.
